Trauma Therapy

You Don’t Have to Carry the Past Alone

Trauma can linger long after the event is over. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, numb, or constantly on alert—even when life seems “fine” on the outside. You might have trouble sleeping, struggle with relationships, or experience intense emotional reactions that feel out of your control. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and healing is possible.

We Offer a Safe Space for Healing

At Clinic for Healing and Change, we understand that trauma looks different for everyone. Whether you’ve experienced a single event, ongoing stress, or trauma from early in life, we offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy that meets you where you are. Our goal is to help you process what’s happened, reduce symptoms like anxiety and shame, and reconnect with a sense of safety, self-worth, and empowerment.

Our Approach to Trauma Therapy

Healing from trauma is not a linear process—and we honor your pace. Our therapists use a range of evidence-based, body-aware, and emotionally safe approaches to support you throughout your journey.

Somatic and Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma often lives in the body. We gently guide you to notice and release tension, reconnect with your physical self, and re-establish a sense of safety using techniques that honor your nervous system.

Cognitive and Mindfulness-Based Approaches

We explore how trauma may shape your thoughts and self-beliefs—then help you develop more compassionate, grounded ways of thinking. Mindfulness helps reduce emotional reactivity and builds resilience.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

We explore how trauma may shape your thoughts and self-beliefs—then help you develop more compassionate, grounded ways of thinking. Mindfulness helps reduce emotional reactivity and builds resilience.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (when indicated)

For some clients, ketamine can be a valuable tool in trauma healing—especially when traditional therapy hasn’t been enough. In a safe, guided setting, KAT may open space for deep insight and emotional release, followed by integration support for lasting change.

Common Trauma Responses

The effects of trauma aren’t always immediate—or obvious. Sometimes they show up in unexpected ways, long after the event has passed. You might not even connect certain thoughts, feelings, or behaviors to past experiences. But your body and mind remember. Here are some common responses that may be signs of unresolved trauma:

If any of these feel familiar, therapy can help you understand your reactions and gently work toward healing.

Begin Your Healing—At Your Own Pace

At Clinic for Healing and Change, we’re here to support you—not to push you. Whether you’re ready to talk or simply need a space to begin exploring what healing might look like, our team is ready to walk alongside you with care and respect.

You don’t have to relive everything to start feeling better. With trauma-informed therapy, we focus on creating safety, choice, and connection—so you can move forward with strength and support.
